3 Cheers for Cheers Elite

What a way to end the season!! Congratulations to all squads at the WSF competition in Nashville. Cheers Elite juniors took FIRST PLACE in the junior level 2 division.  Our senior co-ed level 4 team placed second and our youth level 1 team placed third. It has been a great season for all squads!

Next up, Cheers Elite open workouts....

Cheers Elite Open Workouts and Tryout FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions:

Who can attend the open workouts?
New members, old members, or anyone interested in checking out our program are invited.

What are the dates and times of the open workouts?
  • March 31 6-8pm
  • April 14 6-8pm
  • April 21 6-8pm
  • April 28 6-8pm
How much does it cost to attend?
Nothing!! It's free to members and non-members.

When are tryouts?
Tryouts for Cheers Elite will be held on Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1.


After squads are formed, when will practices begin?
Practices will begin the first week of May.

If I can't attend tryouts, am I ineligible for Cheers Elite?
No, if you're interested and can't attend tryouts, please speak with Jim or Vicki. They can arrange a private tryout time for you.

What can I do to help offset the cost of all-star cheerleading?
Fundraisers are offered frequently and participation is encouraged, but certainly not mandatory.

They are offering after school tumbling bootcamps through March to help kids prepare for Cheerleading Tryouts! These sessions are available at the Paducah Lakewood...Tuesdays through Thursdays - through March '11.

They are also offering some CHEERS ELITE OPEN WORKOUTS (for those who might be interestedin joining Cheers Elite for next season)...but want to know more about it! There is no charge for these workouts...details can be printed out in a pdf from thewww.lakewoodgym.com website.

Also...Teaven Meredith is offering private lessons in Co-Ed Partner stunting basics. This information is also included in the pdf that can be downloaded from the website.

Hot Springs Info

Y’all ready for Hot Springs???  Let’s cheer on our girls and take first place in each level! Schedules are shown below. :)
  • According to Google Maps, it is a 6.5 hour drive to Hot Springs.
  • Price for admission is $25 for a two-day pass. Children 4 and under are free.  
  • You may take pictures (without a flash) and you may video the performances.
  • Priority Seating will be available.

Youth Squad:
Saturday warmup @ 12:34 and compete @ 1:04pm
Please be dressed and ready at 11:00am. After you compete, please try and support the other teams. Sunday compete times begin at 10:56.  You will not know the exact time until you know your ranking after Saturday’s performance. If you are in first place, you will compete last. If you are in 4th place, you’ll compete first on Sunday.  Sarah will let you know. Awards will take place on Sunday at 12:42pm. 

Junior Squad:
Saturday warmup @ 1:56pm and compete @ 2:26pm. Please be dressed and ready at 12:45pm.  You will watch YOUTH perform and then begin warmups.  Please try to stay and support the seniors! Sunday compete times start at 12:22pm.  We won’t know exact time for Sunday until we know our ranking after Saturday’s performance. We will perform in reverse order of our ranking.  Awards will take place on Sunday at 12:42pm.

Senior Squad: 
Saturday warmup @ 3:42 and compete at 4:12pm.
Please be dressed and ready at 2:15. You will watch the JUNIORS perform and then begin warmups. If you can come earlier to watch the youth perform, that would be great!! Sunday compete times start at 2:56pm.  We won’t know exact time for Sunday until we know our ranking after Saturday’s performance. We will perform in reverse order of our ranking.  Awards will take place on Sunday at 3:16pm.
