Choreography Fees due this WEEK!!
Please pay $178 to Cheers Elite.  The majority of the tanks are in and I will have those at the gym on Monday for the youth team, Wednesday for Seniors, and Thursday for Juniors.  The backpacks are also in. I've been asked to place another order for those.  The price is $40 or $48 with name embroidered.  If you'd like one, let me know Monday!!  I have to have at least 6 to place the order. :)

Notes for choreography: 

All choreography sessions are closed, meaning there are no spectators.  This ensures the best environment for learning the routine with limited distractions.  There will be no time for snack breaks during choreography. The girls are welcome to bring drinks (no soda).  Please note the times for uniform fittings on June 17th.  Parents should plan to be present for this.  Also, please be prompt for fittings….especially juniors and seniors. We don't want to interfere with scheduled choreography times.  The money for uniforms is also due on the 17th.  In addition, please know that the choreography end times are approximate. If jason is in the middle of an 8count, he will finish it before letting the girls go.

Sponsor Fundraiser

Our next fundraiser is a sponsor fundraiser. Basically it works like this.  You ask friends, family, even local businesses to pay $10 to sponsor your child. Their name will be printed on the back of the Cheers Elite sponsor tshirt. Everyone's cheers elite supporters will be listed on the back of the shirt. 100% of this profit goes into your cheer account.  The sponsor orders will be due Thursday, June 16th.  I will be getting a tshirt design out to you in a few days. You can begin asking for sponsors now though.  The $10 fee is only for the name to be printed on the back of the shirt.  They can choose to buy a shirt also. The shirts will be $13. Please print clearly when writing the names on the form.

What a way to end the season!! Congratulations to all squads at the WSF competition in Nashville. Cheers Elite juniors took FIRST PLACE in the junior level 2 division.  Our senior co-ed level 4 team placed second and our youth level 1 team placed third. It has been a great season for all squads!

Cheers Elite Open Workouts and Tryout FAQ's

Who can attend the open workouts?

New members, old members, or anyone interested in checking out our program are invited.

What are the dates and times of the open workouts?

• March 31 6-8pm
• April 14 6-8pm
• April 21 6-8pm
• April 28 6-8pm

How much does it cost to attend?

Nothing!! It's free to members and non-members.

When are tryouts?

Tryouts for Cheers Elite will be held on Saturday, April 30th and Sunday, May 1.

After squads are formed, when will practices begin?

Practices will begin the first week of May.

If I can't attend tryouts, am I ineligible for Cheers Elite?
No, if you're interested and can't attend tryouts, please speak with Jim or Vicki. They can arrange a private tryout time for you.

What can I do to help offset the cost of all-star cheerleading?

Fundraisers are offered frequently and participation is encouraged, but certainly not mandatory.

They are offering after school tumbling bootcamps through March to help kids prepare for Cheerleading Tryouts! These sessions are available at the Paducah Lakewood...Tuesdays through Thursdays - through March '11.

They are also offering some CHEERS ELITE OPEN WORKOUTS (for those who might be interestedin joining Cheers Elite for next season)...but want to know more about it! There is no charge for these workouts...details can be printed out in a pdf from thewww.lakewoodgym.com website.

Also...Teaven Meredith is offering private lessons in Co-Ed Partner stunting basics. This information is also included in the pdf that can be downloaded from the website.

Hot Springs Info

Y’all ready for Hot Springs???  Let’s cheer on our girls and take first place in each level! Schedules are shown below. :)

• According to Google Maps, it is a 6.5 hour drive to Hot Springs.
• Price for admission is $25 for a two-day pass. Children 4 and under are free.  
• You may take pictures (without a flash) and you may video the performances.
• Priority Seating will be available.

Youth Squad:

Saturday warmup @ 12:34 and compete @ 1:04pm

Please be dressed and ready at 11:00am. After you compete, please try and support the other teams. Sunday compete times begin at 10:56.  You will not know the exact time until you know your ranking after Saturday’s performance. If you are in first place, you will compete last. If you are in 4th place, you’ll compete first on Sunday.  Sarah will let you know. Awards will take place on Sunday at 12:42pm. 

Junior Squad:

Saturday warmup @ 1:56pm and compete @ 2:26pm. Please be dressed and ready at 12:45pm.  You will watch YOUTH perform and then begin warmups.  Please try to stay and support the seniors! Sunday compete times start at 12:22pm.  We won’t know exact time for Sunday until we know our ranking after Saturday’s performance. We will perform in reverse order of our ranking.  Awards will take place on Sunday at 12:42pm.

Senior Squad: 

Saturday warmup @ 3:42 and compete at 4:12pm.

Please be dressed and ready at 2:15. You will watch the JUNIORS perform and then begin warmups. If you can come earlier to watch the youth perform, that would be great!! Sunday compete times start at 2:56pm.  We won’t know exact time for Sunday until we know our ranking after Saturday’s performance. We will perform in reverse order of our ranking.  Awards will take place on Sunday at 3:16pm.

Please note that the SENIOR times are WRONG on the schedule. At last look, they had us in the wrong division. Athletic officials are aware of it and are working on correcting it.   I have spoken with them and confirmed the correct times as noted below.

Fundraisers

More fundraising opportunities are right around the corner! The new spring designs for Mixed Bags are about to be released. We are all set to begin selling on Jan. 15. We are just waiting for the order forms to arrive. As with all fundraising opportunities, all of your profit goes directly into your child’s account. Funds are NOT split. Therefore, if you chose not to participate, no problem! As soon as the materials arrive, I will distribute them to you. I also have packets from MegaDough on the way as well. It has a variety of cookie dough and such.
With competition fees ending soon, it’s never too early to start fundraising for next season. Keep in mind we are getting new uniforms next year. Anything added to your account from fundraisers can be carried over into next season. There will be shoe, choreography, and uniform fees due over the summer break, so it’s never too early to start saving.

The only exception is that money fundraised for your cheers elite account is forfeited if you chose not to return to the squad next year….but seriously….that doesn’t happen often. We’re all HOOKED ON CHEERS ELITE!!
